Our Services
Three Services, Each Designed for a Specific Need
We offer a focused range of work rather than a general repair service. This allows us to do each type of project properly, with the appropriate tools, knowledge, and time allocated.
Methodology
How We Approach Every Commission
Every piece that comes to us passes through the same careful process: first an assessment, then a written report, then a considered discussion with the owner before any work begins. The service types below reflect distinct categories of work, each with its own requirements and pricing. If you are uncertain which applies to your piece, the Movement Assessment & Consultation is the appropriate starting point.

Service One
Wall & Mantel Clock Service
Restoration work for wall-mounted and mantel timepieces. This service covers the full range of work a clock movement may require: complete disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning, inspection of wear at pivot holes, bushing of worn holes, mainspring inspection and replacement if needed, and reassembly with appropriate lubricants to modern horological standards. Chime trains are regulated and tested through a full strike sequence. Case condition is assessed, and refinishing or conservation work can be arranged as a separate element if the owner wishes.

Service Two
Antique Pocket Watch Restoration
This service is designed for pocket watches of historical or sentimental value, where the emphasis is on careful, considered work that respects what is already there. We begin with a thorough examination of the movement under magnification, noting the condition of each component individually. The case is reviewed for structural integrity and surface condition, and a crystal assessment is carried out. Restoration work proceeds only after discussion with the owner regarding their intentions for the piece — whether they want it to run reliably, or whether the priority is preservation with working condition as a secondary consideration.

Service Three
Movement Assessment & Consultation
This service exists because we believe the first stage should always be a considered look at what you have. We examine the movement and case in detail, and produce a written summary that describes the current condition, identifies any faults or areas of concern, and sets out a range of options — from no intervention through to full service — with indicative costs. The assessment fee of RM 620 is applied toward any further work you choose to commission, so it functions as an investment in informed decision-making rather than an additional expense.

Across All Services
Shared Technical Standards
No Work Without Agreement
The scope of every project is agreed in writing with the owner before we begin. No cost is incurred beyond the agreed scope without a further conversation.
Project Records Maintained
Each piece is logged, photographed on receipt, and a record of condition and work carried out is maintained throughout the project for reference and transparency.
Appropriate Lubricants Used
We use horological lubricants selected for each part of the movement — clock oils, mainspring grease, and escapement oils are not interchangeable, and we treat them accordingly.
Client Data Held Privately
Information about clients and their pieces is not shared with any third party. Our records exist to serve the work, not for any commercial purpose.
Timed Regulation After Service
Following service, movements are regulated and timed before return to the owner. We aim for timekeeping within an acceptable tolerance for the type of movement.
Progress Updates Provided
We contact owners at significant stages of work — when the assessment is complete, when any unexpected finding requires a further decision, and when the piece is ready to collect.
Not Sure Where to Start?
The assessment service is a sensible first step for most pieces. Get in touch and we will explain the process and answer any questions you have.
